Eaters Guild began as a farm because there was a community that supported, and were supported by, our growing organic vegetables. The birth of Eaters Guild came in 2001. Their goal was and remains to steward the soil and its community, finding and growing our health as inclusive to the health of our soil community. They do this with refined and age-old organic practices, integrating plant and animals into an agroecology that feeds us, the soil and uncultivated biodiversity.
Their approach to CSA has been to broaden the time over which we return a members investment by sending shares for 25 weeks. Their aim is to share the full cycle of eating diversity covering 45 weeks with summer and winter shares. CSA members are the heart of the Eaters Guild farm. On weeks when the produce is long and all of the markets are well-served, shares get the best of the best, a careful composition designed to anchor your week's meal planning. For weeks where the produce is tight, the CSA always eats first, in line before the farmers markets, restaurants and grocers.
